Black People want to be provided for, just like it was before the Civil War, They want to be fed, housed, clothed, and provided with the comforts of life. But they don't want to work for it, they think they are owed it for free! We are not our ancestors, and you are not yours! While I can't condone mindless destruction, protests, by nature, are a response to an injustice, and the severity of the one determines the severity of the other. Not just an injustice, but the fact that all other means of combating said injustice have been suppressed and disregarded. Kaepernick kneeling pissed off so many people, but if the quietest, most respectful form of protest isn't allowed, while deranged white wingers can storm government buildings with assault rifles, then is this anger is surely justified. Protests, and by extension, riots, are meant to remind those who govern that the governed have power and can hold their leaders accountable. "If you kill *blank*, then we'll destroy *blank*." They're meant to be damaging and disruptive, that's how they get noticed, that's how they generate influence and invoke change. Throughout history, civil unrest has been the social thermometer for leaders to determine how badly they are screwing up and how they've disenfranchised the people they're supposed to protect.
Then there is also the undeniable fact that protests attract chaotic individuals, regardless of the side. There will always be people who will want to use it as a chance to "Purge". They can hide it, they can justify it, but they care more about destructive entertainment than the cause, if they even care at all. When emotions build in protests, damage and violence are all but guaranteed, but it can be triggered by those who are purging, imitation and all. It can also be triggered by escalation with the police. After all, isn't the whole point of this riot that police are violent and sadistic? There is a lot of destruction, but most of the blame is improperly placed.

What started out as a peaceful protest in front of the Massachusetts State House has turned into a riot. Police cruiser have been vandalized and burned. There smashing storefront windows at this time,and stealing everything insight. They’ve been trying to smash into a jewelry store. A few people have been run over by cars. This isn’t happening in any neighborhood, this is going on in downtown Boston.

If anyone’s going to tell me this kind of violence is justified, I’m telling you to go fuck yourself

People who bring bricks, bottles and gasoline to a protest, aren’t there looking for change, justice or peace. They come with one purpose in mind and that’s just to steal, burn buildings, cars and to incite violence. If you’re bringing weapons such as gasoline, bricks and other things for the simple purpose of causing harm, you’re nothing but a fuckin terrorist, and should be arrested and charged as such
