Must be dreadful to be a Trump supporter! Lying to themselves and lying to everyone else, rationalizing in ways that defy credibility. "Can you Imagine" you can't read a decent newspaper, and you can only listen to one TV station for news, if for instance your TV picks up a different channel, your suddenly bombarded with facts that literally destroy your make believe world! Now as the end draws near, they are faced with the grim reality that they have been cheering for a con man and a fraud. I suppose most of them in the end will say things like " Oh I was just joking I knew all the time he was a clown, You knew I was joking didn't you?"" I wont live to see it, but as the years go by and all of the true dirty shit about Trump comes out, our future leaders of the country will ask the question about his supporters, "What the fuck were they thinking ?"

‘None of your business!’ Trump lashes out when reporter asks him about meeting with Putin

While leaving for his trip to Japan on Wednesday, President Donald Trump stopped to speak with the press on the South Lawn of the White House, where one reporter asked a question that clearly struck a nerve.

Sarah Westwood, a reporter for CNN, asked Trump whether he planned on telling Russian President Vladimir Putin at their upcoming meeting not to interfere in the 2016 election.

“I’ll have a very good conversation with him,” Trump said. Then, with venom in his voice and facial expression, he added: “What I say to him is none of your business!”

Trump frequently lashes out at reporters, but his insults and broadsides tend to seem performative — it’s clear he enjoys lambasting reporters when he gets the chance. But this question really appeared to get under Trump’s skin, eliciting an outburst that showed how sensitive he is about the issue and prompting him to quickly move on to another question. Before this question, he had said of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation and the continuing probes driven by congressional Democrats, “The Mueller thing never stops! … At what point does it end?”

But his claim that Westwood’s question wasn’t her business was as absurd as it was revealing. *When Trump speaks to a foreign leader, he is speaking on behalf of the American people — that makes it every American’s business. And as a White House reporter, it’s literally Westwood’s job to find out what Trump says in situations like this, whether he wants her to know or not. The fact that Trump has been particularly secretive about his conversations with Putin has made their relationship, and his plans for American relations with Russia, even more suspicious. And Trump’s position toward foreign leaders’ potential election interference has become of even greater importance recently when the president suggested he would welcome opposition research on his political opponents from other countries’ governments, even though this could violate the law.

Putin praises Trump as 'talented,' says liberalism has 'become obsolete'

Russian President Vladimir Putin in a new interview praised President Trump as a "talented" person, saying that despite not being a career politician Trump knew how to relate to voters.

“Mr. Trump is not a career politician," Putin told The Financial Times. "I do not accept many of his methods when it comes to addressing problems. But do you know what I think? I think that he is a talented person. He knows very well what his voters expect from him.”

The comments from Putin came in an interview with The Financial Times ahead of the Group of 20 (G-20) summit in Osaka, Japan — an event where the Russian president is expected to meet with Trump. The newspaper noted that Putin was polite when discussing Trump, despite being critical of the United States as a whole. Putin reportedly referred to Trump as "Donald" several times in the interview.

He also praised Trump's initiative to enforce stricter immigration policies along the U.S.-Mexico border while arguing that the "liberal idea" had "outlived its purpose."

“This liberal idea presupposes that nothing needs to be done. That migrants can kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights as migrants have to be protected," he said. “Every crime must have its punishment. The liberal idea has become obsolete."

Putin also weighed in on former special counsel Robert Mueller's report, dismissing conclusions by the U.S. intelligence community that Moscow interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

“Russia has been accused, and, strange as it may seem, it is still being accused … of alleged interference in the U.S. election," he said. "What happened in reality? Mr. Trump looked into his opponents’ attitude to him and saw changes in American society, and he took advantage of this."

Mueller's report found that Russia engaged in an effort to interfere in the presidential election. It did not find sufficient evidence to conclude a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Moscow took place.

Trump and Putin's meeting at the G-20 summit later this week will mark the first time the leaders have met face-to-face since Mueller's report was released. Trump would not commit to confronting Putin about election interference during an interview with NBC on Sunday.

He told reporters Wednesday that he expects to "have a very good conversation with him," adding, "what I say to him is none of your business."

Trump defends Putin’s claim that democracy is dead with bizarre, confused rant about California

Ahead of the G20 summit in Osaka, Vladimir Putin told the Financial Times that “the liberal idea has become obsolete,” a line that drew sharp rebuke from the democratic world.

But when President Donald Trump was asked about the line by Peter Baker of The New York Times, he didn’t even appear to understand what Putin was talking about, responding with a confused rant about how terrible California is.

Los Angeles and San Francisco, Trump said, are “sad to look at” because they are run by “liberal people”:

Putin, of course, was not talking about “liberal” in the sense of California or the Democratic Party. He was talking about the whole concept of Western, pluralistic, multicultural democracy, and arguing that giving marginalized groups like refugees and LGBTQ persons human rights is dying off.

Even if Trump had understood Putin, it is not clear he wouldn’t agree, given that his administration is rolling back LGBTQ protections, holding asylum seekers in camps with no soap and toothpaste, and broadly pushing to remove federal protections for the democratic process.

Trump praises Putin then complains about John McCain in interview on Russian state TV: ‘I never liked him much’

According to Russia media analyst Julia Davis, Donald Trump spoke with reporters from Russian state TV where he expressed his admiration for President Vladimir Putin before taking shots at the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ).

In a series of tweets, Davis wrote, “Trump engages with Russia’s state TV, gives a brief interview to the same television station that routinely mocks him (Rossiya 24), repeatedly says that Putin ‘is a terrific person’ and insists that Russia and the U.S. should do more trading.”

According to the Daily Beast writer, Trump also took time to disparage the GOP senator, with Davis tweeting: “Trump: ‘I was never a fan of John McCain and I never will be… I never liked him much.'”

On Saturday, a panel on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” discussed President Donald Trump’s behavior at the G20 summit with Joy Reid — and many of her guests agreed that his desire to grovel and spend time with dictators.

“I guess one of [the takeaways] is just the shamelessness,” said British journalist and NBC international correspondent Keir Simmons. “I remember previous G20s when President Putin left early because he was shunned by so many leaders. You’ll remember last year the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, shunned. This time President Putin, the crown prince, front and center. The crown prince standing next to President Trump at that family photo.”

“Last piece, I guess, Joy, you know, you saw this deal with the Chinese today after the meeting with President Xi on trade, you talked about President Trump heading to South Korea hoping to meet with Kim Jong-un,” said Simmons. “It seems President Trump’s foreign policy is shifting a little as we heads towards the 2020 elections. He wants to wrap things up, I suspect, in many places he certainly is likely to not want a fight going into those — to that election. He’s going to want to say he managed to achieve some things.”

Reid then turned to former CIA analyst Nada Barkos. “The New York Times is reporting that Donald Trump’s tweet of friendship to Kim Jong-Un actually caught his — the diplomatic core in Asia and his advisors off guard, particularly since the last meeting didn’t go well. It ended as a disaster for both leaders. They got nothing”

“I’m old enough to remember the G20 meetings, the image, the picture was the President of the United States with our allies,” added Reid. “So you would see pictures of him with the leaders of Britain and France and that sort of thing, and now with Donald Trump there, all the pictures are Trump with dictators, Trump with the Saudi dictator, Trump with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, and Trump with the president for life of China. The image of the United States is the President of the United States surrounded by autocrats.”

“Their response on Twitter is they haven’t received an official diplomatic request and they are using diplomatic processes and norms that most countries engage in and that’s their expectation, yet, Trump wants to negotiate all of this over Twitter, which I just find astounding,” said Barkos. “That actually North Korea is the one that’s saying we need to use diplomatic channels and processes in place. There are institutions that are useful and processes that are useful.”

“As far as the G20, I’m astounded at Trump’s response about meddling in the election,” Barkos continued. “Trump criticized principles throughout the G20 meeting. Trump didn’t say anything in response to that and made a sarcastic remark. That’s dangerous. Putin’s predecessors said democracy will collapse … and Trump didn’t say ensure it will be upheld by the United States.”

Trump adviser: Fed chair should not be 'independent' of administration

An economist and adviser to President Trump said Federal Reserve Board Chairman Jerome Powell should work with the White House and lower interest rates, arguing that the board should not be independent of the White House.

In an interview with AM 970's "The Answer," Dr. Arthur Laffer told host John Catsimatidis that Powell probably "doesn't feel good" about the criticism he has received from the president in recent months over interest rates, but urged him to be "professional" and lower rates anyway.

“I’m sure Powell doesn’t feel good about Donald Trump. But, you know, it’s not his job to feel good or bad about Donald Trump. The Fed shouldn’t be independent of the Administration. Never should be. None of those people were elected. They were all appointed. And there’s no reason for them being appointed," Laffer said.

"It’s a policy tool that should be in the hands of the Congress and the President to make our country better. Not in the hands of some Princeton professors who never worked a day in their lives except on an academic paper that’s far from reality. I don’t think there should be an independent Fed," Laffer continued, adding: "He should be a professional and lower rates.”

Trump hinted at ongoing conflicts with Powell during an interview with The Hill last week, stating that the Fed chair was "incorrect" to assume that he was entitled to serve a four-year term.

When asked if he believes the president has the authority to dismiss a Federal Reserve board chairman, Trump replied that he could "if I wanted to, but I have no plans to do anything."

Trump Administration ‘Misses Deadline’ to Print Census Forms

The Trump administration has missed its own July 1 deadline to print the paper forms needed for next year’s Census, NPR reports. A website tracking the progress of 2020 Census materials shows they’re yet to be officially approved by the White House's Office of Management and Budget, which is headed by Trump’s acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney. Justice Department attorneys said Monday that the administration hasn’t yet decided whether it’ll make another legal bid to force the addition of a controversial citizenship question to the Census form, after the Supreme Court last week shot down the administration’s dubious rationale for it. The count is still scheduled to begin in January in Alaska before rolling out to the rest of the country by April, but the printing delay for some 350 million forms could affect that schedule. On Monday, President Trump said he was looking “very strongly” at delaying the Census, adding that he wants the courts to “make a final and decisive decision” on whether the citizenship question can be added.
